A subcommittee of Welfare and includes at least one member who is concurrently a Welfare Committee member. That individual reports back to Welfare and updates would be given to the Senate by Welfare.
Since this is a bargaining unit, minutes are not kept. However, when a tentative agreement is reached, it is sent to Welfare and presented to the Senate.
Committee Policies
Section F 11 of the Faculty Contractual Agreement delineates the duties and procedures of the Emerging Technologies and Alternative Delivery Formats Study and Advisory Committee.
Membership:
- 3 faculty members serve on the committee along with 3 administrators.
- Length of term is 3 years with one member from each side rotating off each year.
- Administrators are appointed by the VP of Academic Affairs.
- One faculty member is appointed from the Welfare Committee by the chair of Welfare.
- Two faculty appointments are made by a call for volunteers through the Committee on Committees.
- Chair of Committee on Committees posts the open position with the criteria that the individual have taught in one of the alternative delivery formats.
- Volunteers are reviewed by the Committee on Committees and names are recommended to the Senate for appointment.
- Senate votes on the appointment of the faculty member to the Emerging Technologies Committee.
